Atmosphere Printing Company is the brainchild of printmaker and activist/organizer, Chris Romano, who has over 18 years of printmaking and art direction experience. After decades of operating a successful record label and CD/DVD production company in Philadelphia, AtmoPrintCo ventured into the unknown by moving to the Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts in 2022.

AtmoPrintCo specializes in screen printed flat stock (Posters, Wedding Invitations, Business Cards, Fine Art Prints, etc.) utilizing different types of inks such as matte, glossy, clear coats, metallic shades, pearlescent, color-changing, glow in the dark, invisible UV, and neon blacklight inks. You can choose from a wide variety of papers, inks, and finishing options and Chris can help guide you through the entire process.

Fun facts:

The studio currently resides in the basement of an old Woolworth's department store in downtown Pittsfield.
The department store was the site of a NAACP led protest/boycott in the 1960's as Woolworth stores in the South refused to serve African Americans at their lunch counters.
The basement was previously a woodshop, night club, sports bar, and local hang out.
Pittsfield is known for their tiny hot dog restaurants... and having the General Electric Company poison the Housatonic River with forever chemicals!
The great W.E.B. Du Bois was born just a few towns south of the studio in Great Barrington.
Moby Dick was written by Herman Melville in Pittsfield.
MassMoCA is a wonderful art museum located just north of the studio in North Adams.
Chris is indigenous to the Americas (Abya Yala) and is a transracial adoptee.
While not on the press, Chris spends a good chunk of his time organizing with comrades in the Capital District (Albany, NY) Region.
